Pig population decreased in most provinces in Poland. However, there are exceptions.
According to ARiMR (Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture) data, as of December 31, 2024 – 9 188 796 pigs were kept in Poland. Compared to the previous year (when 9 391 410 pigs were kept in Poland) this was a result of just over 2% lower.

The pig population decreased in most provinces in Poland. In percentage terms, the largest reduction in the population was recorded in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (-10.64%), Lower Silesian Voivodeship (-9.57%) and Lubuskie Voivodeship (-8.50%) during this time.
In numerical terms, the largest number of pigs (over 77 000) was lost in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship.
A noticeable increase in the population was recorded in two regions. This applies to the Łódź voivodeship (+6.79% - over 66 000 pigs) and the Lublin voivodeship (+6.79% - over 28 000 pigs).
