The implementation of electronic certification protocols between Peru and the Netherlands is a major leap forward in the field of international trade. By aligning with EU regulations, Peru now joins a select group of only ten countries worldwide that are fully compliant with electronic certificate issuance standards.

Moreover, the adoption of electronic certification not only facilitates trade processes, but also improves the safety and traceability of Peruvian and Dutch agro-exports. With digital records replacing paper-based systems, the risk of fraud and error is significantly reduced, ensuring greater confidence and reliability in the global supply chain.

Congratulations to the teams of the National Agricultural Health Service of Peru (SENASA) and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) for this great contribution to the agroexport sector of both countries. Their commitment and collaboration have not only strengthened bilateral trade relations, but also laid the groundwork for future projects.

As Peru and the Netherlands forge ahead on this path to enhanced trade facilitation and security, it sets a promising precedent for other nations to follow suit in embracing technological innovations for the advancement of global commerce.
